A start up catering business with limited money for investment normally starts from home. This is okay. Do not f

There are certain steps you need to take in order to start a home catering business. The first one would be to define which market you would want to serve. Are you planning to serve food to students in their schools? Or have pre-ordered lunch ready for office workers? Make sure that your target market is in a close location. Transporting food from one place to another can be harder than you think so aim for a place nearest you.

Plan a solid menu. Focus on your strong points. If you are good in making Italian cuisine, then include that in your menu. Do a trial for all of the dishes. Have people give you their unbiased opinion. Practice what needs to be improved. Your food is the star of the show, so make it shine bright.

Last but not the least, make sure that you have all of the proper paper works. Permits and licenses need to be obtained in order to start a business. If you do not register your business, then it’s likely that you will have a harder time marketing yourself. A catering business is a serious venture and should not be underestimated even if you only start from home.
